We aggregate.
We empower.
We protect.
Trekking Miles brings India's most genuine sustainable tours, farm stays, and community-run experiences onto one platform — and gives the hosts behind them a free digital storefront to manage listings, bookings, and payments, no tech skills required.
Three jobs, one platform.
Trekking Miles is a DPIIT (Startup India) recognized sustainable tourism startup, built on one belief: sustainability goals aren't achievable alone. So instead of running our own tours, we built the platform that lets every responsible operator in India run theirs.
One platform, hundreds of scattered hosts.
Farm tours, spice-plantation walks, women-run homestays, and craft workshops across India are usually scattered across WhatsApp groups and word of mouth. We bring them onto one searchable, bookable platform.
A free storefront for every host.
Most local hosts have never had access to booking software or a payment gateway built for their scale. We give every host a free listing, a booking calendar, and a payment system — no code, no cost.
Standards, not slogans.
Every host is reviewed against real environmental, social, and economic criteria — overseen by a Travelife-certified, GSTC-trained sustainability lead, not a badge added for marketing.
Money and trust, moving in a circle.
Every booking on Trekking Miles passes through five stops — and lands back where it started.
Flow
Traveler discovers & books
Searches verified, vetted experiences and books directly through the platform — no back-and-forth over email to confirm a date.
Trekking Miles handles payment
Secure payment collection at the time of booking. No cash-handling burden lands on the host.
Host gets paid, keeps the relationship
Funds are routed straight to the host, who still owns the guest relationship and any repeat bookings.
Community trains & grows
Platform support funds onboarding and digital-skills training for the next host joining the network.
Traveler leaves with a real story
Traveler returns with genuine memories and local connection, ready to share their journey and inspire others.
List once. Run it your way.
Whether you run a homestay, a farm tour, a craft workshop, or a guided trek — this is a digital presence built for hosts who've never needed one before.
Free listing
No subscription fee, no commission to join. Build your page with your own photos, pricing, and story.
Manage it yourself
Update prices, pause availability, swap photos, and answer inquiries any time — you control your own page.
Bookings & payments, handled
We process every booking and route payment straight to you. No chasing guests, no manual ledgers.
Digital skills, built in
New to listing online? Our onboarding team walks you through setup, pricing, and managing your storefront.
Kerala already showed this works.
Kudumbashree, a network of 4.5 million women across Kerala, proved that handing local people the tools to run their own enterprise — not charity, not a middleman — is enough to build organic farms, run cafés, and operate transport businesses. Trekking Miles applies the same principle to tourism: give hosts the platform, let them keep the ownership.
The foundation everything
else stands on.
Social Justice
Fair, inclusive opportunities for hosts and communities, with respect for local culture built into how every listing is reviewed.
Economic Development
Strengthening local livelihoods directly — booking revenue reaches the host, not a chain of intermediaries.
Environmental Integrity
Protecting biodiversity and reducing the footprint of travel, from carbon-conscious routing to plastic-free experiences.
Our Mentor
Guided by experienced leaders who believe in responsible tourism.
